Students enrolled at Los Angeles Valley College can now get a FREE Metro GoPass, which allows them to ride Metro buses and trains at no charge!

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) partnered to offer the GoPass program, which makes all LACCD eligible for a free Metro GoPass. The GoPass addresses transportation equity and increases access to higher education by enabling Los Angeles Community College students to ride Metro—completely free of charge—beginning July 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025.

The GoPass is good for Metro bus and rail, AVTA, City of Commerce Transit, Culver CityBus, Foothill Transit, Glendale Beeline, GTrans, LADOT Dash, La County Shuttles, Long Beach Transit, Montebello Bus, Norwalk Transit, Pasadena Transit, Santa Monica Big Blue Bus and Torrance Transit.

To pick up your Metro GoPass Card: Visit the Welcome Center in the Student Services Center, or the LAVC Business Office in the Student Union. Please bring your picture ID. You must be an enrolled student at LAVC to be eligible.

To get an activation code: After students receive their initial Metro GoPass/TAP Card, they will need a new activation code for every academic year they are enrolled. To pick up your 2024-2025 activation code, bring your Metro GoPass Card and picture ID to the LAVC Business Office in the Student Union. You must be an enrolled student at LAVC to be eligible.
